Billy's Thoughts:

Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron might have been one of the biggest films of the year, but it wasn't the only comic book adaption to hit the big screen this year. Marvel's Ant-Man debuted in theaters back in July and took in over $500 million. Directed by Peyton Reed, the film stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll and Bobby Cannavale. It's now available on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD.

The bonus features on the Blu-ray includes:

Making Of An Ant-Sized Heist: A How-To-Guide - Set your watch and count the action in this fast-paced behind-the scenes look at how to pull off a heist movie.

Let's Go To The Macroverse- Shrink down to size in this fascinating look at creating the world from Ant-Man's perspective, from macro photography through the subatomic.

WHH News Front - A hard-hitting collection of content, including a glimpse at the future of Pym Technologies with Darren Cross, anchor Christine Everhart's interview with soon-to-be-released Scott Lang, and more.

Deleted Scenes & Extended Scenes

Audio Commentary By Peyton Reed and Paul Rudd

I have to honest, when I first heard that Paul Rudd was playing the title character, I thought he was an odd choice as the actor normally plays in comedies. Nevertheless, I'm a fan of Marvel movies, so I watched the Digital HD version a couple of weeks ago. Right from the get go I could tell the tone of Ant-Man was unlike the other Marvel films. While there is plenty of action through the film, it's more of a heist-comedy.

The visual effects are a standout, especially with the deaging of Michael Douglas (who plays Dr. Hank Pym) and the climatic battle between Ant-man & Yellowjacket (played by Corey Stoll).

Overall, Ant-Man is an entertaining flick with plenty of action and laughs. In my opinion it's one of Marvel Studios best movie so far. It would make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas.
