Sunday Post - Goosebumps, Hawk, and Stranger Things

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

Good Evening, Everyone!

I hope everyone is safe & sound on this Sunday evening.

As you can probably tell by the lack of recent posts, I have had little free time again, so I haven’t gotten to my backlog of reviews. Well, except for one Blu-ray review, which got posted on Friday. Running around and doing errands for everyone else is wearing me out. I’m praying this epidemic will disappear overnight, but according to the stats that will not happen soon.

The Midnight Horror Review - The Grudge (2020)

My stomach cringed when I heard there would be a reboot of The Grudge, which turned out to be a sidequel with the same name as 2004’s The Grudge, or otherwise known as the American remake of the Japanese Ju-On horror franchise. Yeah, I know, what an original title!

Don't Forget to Send Greeting Cards!

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past few months, then you already know we are living in strange times with the epidemic that is plaguing the world. The states are shutting down again, and the stores that are still open will suffer even more because of the lack of merchandise being produced. The small businesses in my neck of the woods are hurting badly by the crises. The store shelves are bare and only the necessities are being restocked. And, no, this doesn’t include greeting cards.

Blu-ray Review - The Contractor / The Fan

There’s been a space in my life without an MLB season this year; though there’s a brief season starting later this month. We must see what happens with it.

Speaking of baseball, the other night I watched the underrated 1996 thriller The Fan starring Wesley Snipes and Robert De Niro. Snipes stars as Bobby Rayburn, the centerfielder for the San Francisco Giants. With a $40 million price tag, everyone is expecting Rayburn to take the team to the World Series. Unfortunately, Rayburn goes on the worst hitting slump in his career. De Niro plays a diehard Giants fan, Gil Renard, who becomes obsessed with Rayburn.

Sunday Post - Dune, Foxworth, and Star Trek

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

Good Afternoon, Everyone!

Did anyone notice that I skipped last week's Sunday Post?

Well, technically, I haven't posted a Sunday Post in three weeks, though I did put up a Monday Morning Madness on June 22nd. My life has been hectic for the past month and I've fallen a bit behind on reviews. Currently, I have 11 or 12 DVDs/Blu-rays and 8 paperbacks piled up on desk that I need to write reviews for, as well as several eBooks on my Kindle. My lack of time isn't my only excuse. There have been multiple internet outages and computer update issues, so when I did have free time, I couldn't post anything.

The Midnight Horror Review - Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter (1974)

The Midnight Horror Review is back! Well, I didn’t really go anywhere. Because of an internet outage, I couldn’t post last week’s review. Yeah, it sucked.

I had planned on reviewing a different movie, but Hulu included Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter in their fresh batch of titles. I can never say no to watching a Hammer flick, so that’s what I’m reviewing tonight - 1974’s B-Movie - Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter.
