Subtle Earth Organic Coffee Review

It's no secret to my blog readers that I'm sort of a coffee nut. I can't function properly without at least two cups of coffee every morning. That being said, I'm always up for trying a new coffee brand.

I received a 2 lb bag of Subtle Earth Organic Coffee Medium-Dark Roast Whole Beans a few of days ago. This is the biggest bag of coffee beans that I have ever seen.

The Subtle Earth Organic Coffee is part of the Burke Brands LLC, which was founded by Darron J. Burke. The company grows, picks and process their coffee beans in Columbia. Through the Sharing Certified Program, they also have over 1,000,000 coffee trees in South America. They never use Robusta, past crop, or defective beans, but instead they use organic coffee beans. The company is also has been AIB Food Safety Certified and Certified by CCOF for Organic Production.

The Subtle Earth Organic Coffee is an Honduran coffee from the Marcala region. Cherries are composted and used as fertilizer. No harmful chemicals or insecticides are ever used. If there is a bug problem, the farmers will plant peppers as a repellent. All the coffee beans are roasted at the company's Miami facility.

Crazy Cups: Sumatran Tiger Bold Roast Coffee Review

Normally, when I review something I will wait a few days or even up two weeks to write my actual review as it gives me time to try out the product before coming up with my final thoughts, but after drinking one cup of the Crazy Cups: Sumatran Tiger Bold Roast Coffee, I decided it was enough to write this review.

I've been a coffee drinker since I was a teenager, but I only started using K-Cups last year. To tell you the truth, I don't own a Keurig K, instead I use the Joe Pod Coffee Pot Converter with a regular coffee pot.

Crazy Cups, an Organic and Fair Trade Coffee, is the first single-cup coffees compatible with Keurig coffee makers that are recyclable. Each cup is free of sugar, gluten and lactose. It is Pareve and OU Kosher certified.

Each Crazy Cup has 13g of premium Arabica coffee, which is 30% more than other single serve cups offers on the market. There are 14 flavored coffees: Banana Foster Flambe, Italian Chocolate Cheesecake, Jamaican Me Crazy, Spiced Gingerbread, Peppermint Chocolate Mocha, Pumpkin Vanilla Creme, Chocolate Chipotle Mole, Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich, Frosted Oatmeal Cookie, Caramel Truffle Sundae, Salted Caramel, Death By Chocolate and Cinnamon Churro. Seasonal Coffee Flavors are: White Christmas, Spiced Gingerbread and Pumpkin Vanilla Creme. Premium Hot Chocolates Available are: Irish Creme Cheesecake, Maple French Toast and Salted Caramel.

Wave 3 Smooth Dark Roast Organic Whole Beans Review

Yes, I do love a good cup of coffee every morning, so it should be no surprise that I wanted to try the Wave 3 Smooth Dark Roast Organic Whole Beans. Now I prefer to use coffee beans that I grind at home as it makes the coffee taste even more fresher.

Since everyone likes to be green these days, the Wave 3 coffee is USDA Certified Organic (Fair Trade & sustainably-grown). Each bean is hand selected and dark roasted the very same day via "third wave coffee roaster," which gives each batch an unique flavor.

Typically, your average cup of coffee would have just caffeine in it, but the Wave 3 has more than just caffeine. Actually, it is considered a superfood as it contains Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Manganese, Potassium, Magnesium and Niacin as well as antioxidants! Unlike other coffee brands that can leave you feeling a bit edgy, the Wave 3 leaves you with a nice wave of energy.

Two Volcanoes Coffee Review

I guess the best way to kick off the week on a Monday morning is with a coffee review and as all my blog readers already know, I kinda need my morning cup(s) of coffee!

Now I have nothing against buying coffee grounds, but it doesn't taste as fresh as the coffee beans that I grind in my own kitchen. Recently, I was sent a complimentary bag of 100% Guatemala Arabica Whole Bean Coffee from Two Volcanoes Coffee to review in exchange for my honest thoughts. The 16 oz bag retails for $19.99.

The coffee is cultivated, processed and packed from San Marcos, Guatemala and is sold exclusive on Amazon.com. Guatemala is one of the top 10 places in the world where the best coffee is grown. Yes, the $19.99 price may seem a little steep at first, but it is a lot cheaper than other gourmet coffees that are sold in high-end coffee stores!

Brooklyn Bean Variety Pack Review + Giveaway

I can't function properly without my morning cup of coffee, so you can imagine that I have tired almost every brand of coffee imaginable. Though I am a coffee freak, I'm not going to pay over a hundred collars for a Keurig coffee machine, but instead I own a cheap Bella Coffee Maker, which I have enjoyed using for over a year now.

Many coffee brands are bringing out the single serve coffee cups (or otherwise known as K-cups) that are intended to be used with the Keurig machines. I keep seeing these K-cups in stores and I have always wanted to try one, but I didn't want to buy a new high-priced coffee brewer.

Luckily for me, I was sent a complementary 40 single serve Brooklyn Bean Roastery Variety Pack to review. Since I am a coffee nut, I was more than excited about trying this out. You might be wondering how I was going to brew these coffees without a Keurig. Well, that is simple, my current coffee maker has a reusable coffee filter, so I just pour in about a cup of water into the machine, poke a hole in the K-cups and pour the coffee grounds into the reusable filter. It works perfect this way, though I do recommend putting in a another cup of water as it was a bit too strong for my liking.

Please take note that if you do own a Keurig, these cups are not compatible with the Keurig 2.0 Brewers!

The 40 coffee cups in this variety pack are:

LipiX InstantEdge Ketogenic Coffee Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
As you can probably imagine, I get a little excited when I get the opportunity to review anything coffee related, as I'm a big coffee drinker. So, naturally, I eagerly signed up to review the LipiX InstantEdge Ketogenic Coffee.

The instant coffee is fortified with Medium Chain Triglycerides, a safe, energetic and rich fatty acids that are easily metabolized by the by the body. Unlike Long Chain fatty acids, MCTs aren't absorbed in the human diet. MCTs provides healthy energy for your brain, while at the same time it gives your body that extra boosts it needs to get through the day. MCTs form ketone bodies in the liver, which is then released into the bloodstream and travels to your brain and other organs.

The Organic Coffee Co. Review and Giveaway

As you can see my the name of my blog, I love a good cup of coffee. Over the years, I have been able to review a variety of different coffee brands and flavors.

Last Saturday, I received four 12oz coffee bean bags from The Organic Coffee Co., which is part of the Rogers Family Company. The coffee beans I received are Hazelnut, Chocolate Almond, Hurricane Espresso and French Roast. The coffee arrived just in time, as there was a few inches of snow on the ground and there is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee on a cold winter day.

What makes organic coffee different from regular coffee? Well, all the farms that grow the coffee are organic certified; meaning all the coffee beans grown are free of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides; so the beans are grown naturally, preserving all the original flavor.

I was eagerly looking forward to trying out my new coffee grinder. The first bag I opened was the
Hurricane Espresso. The tagline on the bag is, "A whirlwind of dark roasts blended to give a patent, vibrant cup with a calm aftertaste." To me there is nothing better than the fresh scent of coffee beans and the scent alone for this bag is enough to wake you up. It has a rich flavor, enough to keep a person going for hours after only one cup.

Kicking Horse Kick Ass Coffee Review & Giveaway

While I was busy raking the leaves in my front yard on Saturday afternoon, the mail man delivered a box with the Kicking Horse Coffee logo on it. There is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee on a cool fall afternoon. Therefore, I dropped the rake and brought the box inside the house with the intention of brewing some java.

Let me give you a little brief history on the Kicking Horse Coffee brand. Kicking Horse Coffee started out as a kick-starter company, selling coffee from a garage. They roast small amounts of selective coffee beans and package them on the same to ensure the coffee freshness, which freshness is the company's highest priority.

What makes Kicking Horse Coffee different from other brands? Well, all their roasted coffee is made from organic coffee beans. Since 2007, Kicking Horse Coffee has become the number one specialty coffee being sold in the Canadian grocery stores! The brand offers many different flavors of whole coffee beans, such as Hoodoo Jo, Grizzly Claw, Decaf Cliff Hanger Espresso, Jumbo Wild, Pacific Pipeline and many others.

What kind of coffee did I get?
