Billy's Answer
The only book that comes to mind is "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee; however, probably everyone had to read it at least once during high school.

Yup. I remember reading that one in high school for sure. It wasn't necessarily a favorite. I was very much in my paranormal game by then and if there wasn't something "exciting" in the book I usually deplored reading it. It wouldn't be until my senior year where a required reading choice finally struck a chord! Lol.

Have a GREAT day!

I had already read To Kill a Mockingbird before having to read it for a 7th-grade English. I had to reread it for three other High School classes—one being a "classic novel" class. Then, I've reread it a few times over the years.
DeleteI've never read that. My English class didn't have it on the list to read. Maybe one day I'll read it.

I had to read it for junior high and high school back in the mid-90s.
DeleteI actually never read that in high school. Not sure why. It's definitely on my list to read someday though.
ReplyDeleteI read it in junior high and high school in the mid-90s; the curriculum has changed; kids probably, don't have to read it now; if so, it would have to do with the "racism" theme.
DeleteI never read this one in high school. We read stuff like Go Ask Alice, My Darling, My Hamburger. I am being serious, lmbo! 🙃
ReplyDeleteWow! I've never heard of My Darling, My Hamburger before. I had to google it after reading your comment. Glad, I didn't have to read that one; I probably wouldn't have liked it. I did have to read S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders, which I loathe to this day.
DeleteI should revisit that one. Have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteYup, read it in high school, I should probably reread it at some point. This weeks question is a good one, i'm excited to see what everyone picked.
