  • My flu bug lasted more than 24 hours, and I'm just now starting to feel like myself again. Hence, I didn't feel like reading and only had time to write one review. 

  • The Kansas City Royals offense has approved significantly, but their bullpen still sucks. As of this writing (Saturday afternoon), their record is 8-25.




What Am I Currently Reading? 


I haven't read much more of Indiana Jones and the Army of the Dead by Steve Perry.

What's New on the Shelf?


There's a new Women's Murder Club novel out, The 23rd Midnight, which somehow passed my radar; I had no idea it was coming out until I came across it at Walmart. I also picked up Clive Cussler's Dark Vector by Graham Brown.


I bought two dirt cheap Gray Man novels from eBay: Dead Eye and Relentless.

    Looks like you found a couple of interesting bargains. Our Mariners have the opposite problem. We have a really strong bullpen for a change, but the whole team seems to be in a hitting slump! Though we did beat the Astros tonight, so that was fun!

    Glad to hear you're on the mend! I feel like every time I get sick it lasts forever, even when I start feeling better I remain about 90% for over a week. It's awful.

    The Royals are like my Red Wings (different sport, I know, but...). Love Halocene!

    I was in my Dollar Tree this weekend and found some books, including a Quarry's installment by Max Collins. I didn't expect to see that !

    I'm still debating whether I want to read the next Women's Murder Club series. I was that disappointed by the last one.
