{Sunday Post} - The Fear, The Death of Jane Lawrence, and Run, Rose, Run

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

Good Morning, Everyone!

3/5/22 - It's been a long and depressing week. I'm not going into details.

What Am I Reading?

It was a decent week for reading. I finished Delayed Rays of a Star by Amanda Lee Koe and Malicious Intent by Lynn H. Blackburn. I have yet to continue reading the Dark Shadow eBooks, but they're on my to-do list this week. Each book is around 150 pages or less, so I can read one every morning if I push myself.

Little, Brown and Company kindly sent me a copy of Run, Rose, Run by Dolly Parton and James Patterson, which I received on Friday afternoon. While I was patiently waiting for the UPS driver, I read 34 pages of Dune by Frank Herbert to kill time. I'll be reading it in between other reads. As for Run, Rose, Run, I am on page 77.

Next on my reading list is Counterfeit Love by Crystal Caudill. I'm supposed to be receiving a paperback from the publisher, but they're having warehouse or shipping issues. I downloaded the eBook version from Netgalley. I'll have to double-check, but I think my review is due on the 15th for the book tour.

Recent Reviews

Where's the review for Belfast? Well, I haven't written yet. I wanted to have it posted on March 1st, but my anxiety and depression got in the way. I'm hoping to get a few reviews written on Sunday.

What's in the Mail?

Run, Rose, Run was the only book in the mail this week.

What's New On The Bookshelf?

Saturday morning, I picked up The Fear by Natasha Preston at Walmart. Yep, they restocked their book section. I already own The Twin and The Lake by the author, though I have yet to read them.

New titles on my Kindle are The Death of Jane Lawrence by Caitlin Starling, Cleopatra's Dagger by Carole Lawrence, and The Science of Star Trek by Mark Brake.

  5. I like that Avril Lavigne song- I love it when videos tell a story. :)

The dark Shadows books sound so good to me too. I don't know if I'd like them but I'm so curious! Love that they're short too- I was just reading something from the 80's this week and reminded me how shorter books were.
