Random Rambling - Dating, Exercising, and Writing

It's another sleepless night for me for many reasons I will not go into, and, no, it doesn't have anything to do with my caffeine intake, though I did brew a cup just a few minutes ago. Once again, my mind is practically running on a different cylinder than my usual norm and listening to Taylor Swift's Fearless rerelease. (Yes, I am a Taylor Swift fan. Enough said.) There are too many things I need to catch up on and several new ideas I would like to focus my attention on. If there were only more hours in a day, then maybe I could get more things accomplished. Or if I would solve my procrastination issues then, I would have plenty of time to do all things I want to do.

I need to make a few changes in my life. There's a to-do list floating around my noggin, and I need to jot it down in a notebook, so I can mark off when I finish something. At the tiptop of that list will be the books piled up on my desk that I need to review. I've read them, took a few notes, but never gotten around to writing the reviews. Exercising is next on the list. It's something that's been missing from my life for several months. I need to kick myself in the butt (No, I'm not flexible.) and make myself exercise in the early morning hours. I've done it before and can do it again. I just need to get into a routine.

The word dating is a bit of a cliche on this blog (as I do tend to talk about it a lot), but it's also on my to-do list. Recently, someone (a stranger) told me I should put myself out there, and she's right. I should "put myself" out there in the dating world. There are plenty of free dating websites I could potentially join, so if I want to go that route, there are plenty of options. There are dating websites for just about every kind of niche, such as Christian dating, nerd dating, retired dating, etc. The list goes on and on. While I've had a bit of bad luck with online dating in the past, I am willing to give it another try.

Lastly, on my to-do list is writing. No, I'm not referring to this blog. I've been thinking about starting a separate blog about horror books and movies, but I haven't jumped on my idea yet. It would involve moving 'The Midnight Horror' posts over to the blog. The thought of managing two separate blogs is stressful, so I've delayed doing it. However, I want to share my thoughts about horror movies (especially Hammer Films), and I don't believe those posts will appeal to the readers of this blog. If I don't create a separate blog, my other option is to try my hand at writing articles or reviews for a horror-themed website. I've done a tad bit of freelance writing in the past, and I might give another go at it.

  1. My bestie is the caretaker at Castle Blogferatu. He also goes back and forth on whether he should have a blog with multiple themes all jammed together, or whether he should maintain two. Right now, he’s maintaining two, a horror movie blog, and a general board, which I’m not sure he loves. I pointed him here as I think you guys would have a lot to talk about!

    He’s at blogferatu.com.
