It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by The Book Date.
My agenda for the next few days is to read Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark, More Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark, and Scary Stories 3: More Stories to Chill Your Bones by Alvin Schwartz.I bet there isn't one '80s kid who doesn't remember reading Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark! I was either in the second or third grade when I first read the original book. My mom bought the books for me though a Scholastic book flyer. I have no idea what happened to those books because they're long gone. I probably let someone borrow them and they never returned them. It doesn't matter as I bought all three titles several years ago at thrift store. I've been meaning to rereading them for along time but I've just never gotten around to it. With the feature film adaptation coming out at the end of the week, I thought this would be a great time for me to finally reread them. Then I'm going to put my full attention on Stephen King's IT, which I'm currently on page 383.
There's a familiar favorite. Fun book. Have a good week. My weekly updates
ReplyDeleteThe Scary Stories books are fun little reads.
DeleteAh scary stories and me - not so good. But when we went on school camp, some of the teachers loved telling scary stories around the camp fire. I was a teacher adult at the time so that was okay!!
