It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by The Book Date.
Good Evening, Everyone!
I would like to thank everyone for their encouraging comments last week!!! Probably many of you spent the weekend watching the Avengers Endgame movie that made over $1.2 billion. I'm a Marvel fan, but I'll see the movie only if it plays at the one-screen theater in my hometown. I'm guessing it won't be playing there until at least the middle of May. It's been storming all afternoon and I've been bored to death. At least I have the American Gods finale and 85-minute Game of Thrones episode to look forward to tonight.
What Am I Currently Reading?
Thanks to my allergies (eyes watering and headaches), I had a bit of trouble trying to read last week, so I'm still reading The Tinderbox by Beverly Lewis, which I'm hoping I can finish it sometime on Monday. Next, I'm going to be reading N0S4A2 by Joe Hill that I had just checked out at the library yesterday. The television series based on the book will debut on AMC this summer.

No books in the mail last week, but I did receive The Hole in the Ground DVD from LionsGate. I've already reviewed the movie. You can find the review link up above in this post under "Recent Reviews."
New on My Bookshelf
Every single time go shopping at the local Dollar Tree store, I go straight to the book section. Well, yesterday I stumbled upon "Pirate Hunters" by Robert Kurson. I thought the title was interesting, so I bought it.
While I was at the library checking out N0S4A2, I browsed around and found the newly located "books for sale" section. Wow! There are at least 200 books for sale there, if not more. The prices have went up. Hardbacks are $2, large paperbacks are $2, and smaller paperbacks are $1. I bought one book - 20th Century Ghost by Joe Hill. I checked out and read the exact same copy ten or eleven years ago. At that point in time I didn't know Joe Hill was Stephen King's son. I only checked out the book because there was an introduction by author Christopher Golden.
I don't why I did this, but I purchased seven $.99 Star Trek eBooks for my Kindle. The titles are: The More Things Change, Double Helix: Infection, Double Helix: Vectors, Double Helix: Red Sector, Double Helix: Quarantine, Double Helix: Double or Nothing, and Double Helix: The First Virtue.
My youngest son just left to go and see Endgame at our local theatre with friends, Hubby and I watched the season finale of Discovery last nigh.i liked how they. Synced up with the canon, and can’t wait to see what happens next.
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week
I wanted to see The Avengers but all the theaters by me were too crowded. The only seats available were right in front of the screen and I refuse to pay ticket prices to sit there! Lol. So I'll be waiting awhile before I see it too!
