Welcome to my first Tuesday Picks! post, where I will be picking out my favorite books and movies that are being released this week.
Books
Max Einstein: The Genius Experiment
by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein

Ambush: A Detective Michael Bennett Thriller
by James Patterson and James O. Born
Buy Links: Amazon, Barnes & Noble |
I'm not aware of any other books being released besides from Ambush and Max Einstein, which are both co-written by James Patterson; though there are many other books out this week. If you're not already aware, I'm a big James Patterson fan (something I picked up from late grandmother). It's difficult to keep up with all his new books because the guy releases one or two books a month. I am glad he stopped publishing the Bookshots novella series, as it was way to hard for me to find copies of them. Anyhow, I had already pre-ordered Max Einstein: The Genius Experiment and Ambush a few weeks ago and I received both books today. My reading queue is booked for the rest of the month, so I might read these two sometime in November.
Movies
Hotel Transylvania 3

Trick 'r Treat: Collector's Edition
Buy Links: Amazon, Shout! Factory |
Skyscraper

I believe I had requested to review Hotel Transylvania 3, but I guess they didn't have any review copies available, as I have never received a copy as of today. I'm not the greatest fan of first two films, so it doesn't bother me a bit if I don't receive a copy. My dad likes the films, so I'll probably end up buying the DVD or Blu-ray for him for Christmas.
The only reason why I'm listing Skyscraper this week is because I normally enjoy watching Dwayne Johnson's movies. However, the Skyscraper trailer looked horrible, which is why I'm not really eager to this movie. I'm not planning on buying it right now either. If it's cheap on Black Friday, maybe I'll consider buying it.
I don't keep up with all the Scream Factory horror releases, but I do know Trick 'r Treat is being released as a Collector's Edition Blu-ray. It's a good horror anthology flick. I already own it on DVD, so I might not be interested in buying it on Blu-ray at this time.
