Late Night Fitness Review: Protein Energy Power

I believe I should have started 2017 with a New Year's Resolution of not procrastinating! It seems this has become a problem with me when it comes to reviewing things on here. Case in point, I had received 4 sample flavors of Protein Energy Power earlier this year, but for some reason or another I had left them sitting on my desk collecting dust. Nevertheless, I'm finally getting around to reviewing the samples.

What exactly is Protein Energy Powder?

Well, it's a protein powder mix made with natural peanut protein. It doesn't contain soy or whey protein. It's also GMO Free, as well as being free of artificial colors, flavors, and sweeteners.

Protein Energy Power is currently available in four flavors: Original, Banana, Chocolate, and Honey. One serving has 170 total calories, if mixed with only water. If you use milk, the calories will be slightly higher. Each serving contains 17 grams of protein, 100mg of plant derived Omega 3, and 25 vitamins and minerals. It also has an enzyme and probiotic blend.

Final Thoughts: A simple protein drink can do wonders for your body after an intense workout. There are many brands of protein mixes in stores, but you need to look closely at the labels before you buy, as many of them have artificial ingredients instead of organic/natural ones.

That being said, one of my favorite things about Protein Energy Power is that it's made from natural peanut powder. I mixed 8oz of skim milk with each protein sample and blended the two ingredients in a Ninja blender. All of the drinks/shakes blended smoothly.

What does it tastes like?

Well, the original tastes like a peanut butter shake. Of course the other three tasted like peanut butter too, but slightly different due to the added flavoring. My favorite out of the four would be the chocolate, and my least favorite would be the banana. Don't get me wrong, I still liked the banana mix, but if I had to rank the flavors, it would be in last place.

Overall, I've enjoyed testing out the Protein Energy Power, and I recommend the brand to other protein drink lovers.
