Review:

Arriving on DVD this Tuesday, February 11, 2014 is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie-Rella, the all-new 30-minute special, which will premiere on the Disney Channel and Disney Junior on February 14th. There are three extra 24-minute episodes and ten Minnie's Bow-Toons. Each DVD comes with a Free Castle Play Set.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is the Disney Channel's first CGI animated series, which began airing under the daily Playhouse Disney block in 2006 and later moved to Disney Junior. It is the first Mickey Mouse program aimed for preschoolers. Sadly, the series stopped production in December 2013.

In Minnie-Rella, Mickey and the gang are planning a surprise for Minnie. They give her several chores to do to distract her while they finish the surprise. Meanwhile after finishing the chores, Minnie is tired and falls asleep. She is awaken by Fairy Godmother Clarabelle, who magically helps her to get ready for Prince Mickey's party, but she might not make it in time if she doesn't hurry.

The three bonus episodes are:

Pluto's Tale - In this fairytale, Wizard Pete has taken Princess Bella and it is up to Prince Pluto to rescue her.

Mickey and the Enchanted Egg - Mickey finds a egg, but it isn't an ordinary egg - it is a dragon egg, which hatches into a Baby Dragon.

Daisy's Pony Tale - Professor Von Drake has created a new invention called the Fritzer-Spritzer Spray Potion, which accidentally gets spritzed on Daisy's ponytail, which causes her hair go grow.

The 10 Minnie's Bow Toons are:
  1. Piano Movers and Shakers
  2. Locked Out
  3. Feelin Crabby
  4. Cucko-Loca's Egg-celent Adventure
  5. Funny Bunny
  6. Weather or Not
  7. Mechanical Mayhem
  8. Adventures in Piggy Sitting
  9. Minnie's Makeover Madness

Though I do watch the Disney Channel, I was unaware that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse even existed. Minnie-Rella is a cute take on the classic Cinderella fairy tale, which is a toned down version for younger viewers. The special, as well as the extra three episodes, interact with the preschool audience. The bonus Minnie Bow-Toons are cute two-minute shorts, which happens to be the entire second season on this disc. The beloved characters are water-downed for the young audience too, but I thought the episodes were entertaining. I'm sad to the hear that the series has ended, but at least the fans have the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie-Rella DVD to watch. Plus, I think there are a couple other episodes/specials that haven't aired yet.
