Sunday Post - Cross Shadow, The Marvelous Mechanical Man, and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

Good Afternoon, Everyone!

Yes, I'm late with today's post because I spent the morning hours watching Mr. Mercedes: Season 2 on DVD. The series is based on the Bill Hodges Trilogy by Stephen King, which I need to reread soon, along with The Outsider.

The chance of any of them having been present the evening of the incident was slim enough, and they were most likely tired of answering the same questions over and over.

My Thoughts

Kregel Publications sent me Cross Shadows by Andrew Huff to review for an upcoming book tour. I wasn't a big fan of the first novel, A Cross to Kill, but I thought I would at least give the sequel a chance.

Blu-ray Review - Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga / Ultra Fight Orb

Recently, I watched the Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga miniseries and the 30-minute mini-movie Ultra Fight Orb. Mill Creek Entertainment had released them on a two-disc Blu-ray set (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy) way back in February. There are no special features or bonus extras, which is disappointing. One would think they could've at least put trailers or commentaries on the discs. It comes with a moviesSpree digital code. The digital video quality on the platform is excellent.

Sunday Post - Lady, Savage Country, and The Vampire Lovers

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

Good Morning, Everyone!

I hope everyone is safe & sound this Memorial Weekend. To be honest, it doesn't feel like Memorial Weekend this year. Besides from putting flowers on two graves yesterday, I'm doing nothing for the holiday.

After months and months of telling myself that I need to lose weight, I finally got the motivation to drag myself out of bed in the wee morning hours and exercise. After several days of being sore, I'm enjoying exercising, again.

Now, if I can just stay on a diet . . .

Blu-ray Review - Emma (2020)

Focus Features had released a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s 1815 coming-of-age story Emma (PG; 2 hrs 3 mins) in February, and because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it received a streaming platform release on March 20th. The film is now available to purchase on Blu-ray (Amazon), DVD (Amazon), and Digital from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
