With the last fragment of the Black Hole Generator in the Triceraton's possession, the Turtles race back to New York City for a final showdown against the alien threat. But even if they save Earth from total annihilation, will their city ever be the same?

Final Thoughts

Out today on DVD from Nickelodeon is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Earth's Last Stand (aka Volume 2 of the fourth season), featuring seven exciting episodes. As an added bonus, the DVD comes with a "Raph Backpack Pull."

The first two episodes, "The Ever Burning Fire" and "Earth's Last Stand", on this release are the final installments of the "Fugitoid space saga" that began at the end of the season three finale. The Triceratons have found the last part of the Black Hole Generator and have traveled to Earth to destroy it. The turtles, April, and Casey Jones travel with Fugitoid back to Earth for one last battle.

With Shredder and the Foot Clan on a temporary defeat, the turtles try to relax, but unfortunately they learn that Karai has built her own Foot Clan in "City At War" and she plans on destroying the Shredder once in for all.

"Broken Foot" centers on Leonard and Karai planning on destroying Shredder's Foot Soldier Factory with a little help from the other turtles and Shinigami.

The mad scientist Stockman (aka the Fly) returns in "The Insecta Tricfecta" to unleash his newest mutants, Scumbug and Antrax, upon the city.

In "Mutant Gangland," the turtles team up with Mondo Gecko, Slash, Leatherhead, and Dr. Rockwell to defeat the gangster Don Vizioso from using his anti-mutant weapons upon the city.

After Donnie experiments with April's Sol Star in "Bat In the Belfry," Mikey's favorite cartoon heroes, Wingnut and Screwloose, are brought to life.

All the episodes on the single-disc DVD are fun to watch, though I do wish there were a few special features or extras besides from the backpack pull. The picture quality and sound are excellent on all the episodes.

Overall, I enjoyed watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Earth's Last Stand DVD. It would make a great gift this holiday season for any fan, young or old.
