Review:

Arriving on DVD on Tuesday February 3, 2015 is Doc McStuffins: Cuddle Me Lambie, featuring 6 full episodes from the hit Disney Junior animated series. There are no extras or special features on the single-disc set. However, there is a free Lambie Hair Clips with each DVD purchase.

Doc McStuffins centers on an African-American girl named Dottie (Doc) McStuffins (voiced by Kiara Muhammad), who wants to be a Doctor just like her mother when she grows up. When she puts on her stethoscope, she imagines that her toys come to life and she acts as a doctor to these toys by giving them checkups and healing their wounds.

The series has received wonderful reviews from critics and has become one of the most popular shows on Disney Junior. The series is currently in it's third season.

The episodes on the single-disc are:

My Huggy Valentine / Dusty Bear - Doc receives a heart-shaped toy that she names Val. The other toys love spending time with Val, but Lambie becomes jealous. Later, Doc finds Donny's old stuff bear, Teddy B, and attempts to return the toy to him, but there is one problem - Donny is allergic to Teddy B.

Awesome Buy's Awesome Arm / Lamb In A Jam - Awesome Guy lifts too many toys, so Doc diagnoses him with "Arm-over-use-is." Later, Doc diagnoses Lambie with "Jam-on-Lamb-itosis," when Lambie accidentally gets grape jam on herself.

Kirby And The King / Bubble Monkey, Blow Your Nose! - Sir Kirby and the Wicked King accidentally get stuck to each other. Later, Doc and her toys teach Bubble Monkey how to wipe his nose.

A Day Without Cuddles / Collide-o-scope - Lambie accidentally dumps flour on herself and Doc diagnoses her with "flour-tosis,"which means Lambie can't cuddle with anyone anymore. Later, Doc's newest toy Kiara the kaleidoscope bumps her head, but she doesn't want to report it to Doc.

Mirror, Mirror On My Penguin /  Hide and Eek! - Doc is babysitting Baby Suki. Everything is going fine until the baby starts screaming. Later, Donny and Alma are pretending to be mad scientists and they create a toy monster that all the other toys are afraid of.

Though I don't ever watch Disney Junior, I have seen advertisements for Doc McStuffins several times on the regular Disney Channel. When I saw the Doc McStuffins: Cuddle Me Lambie DVD was up for review, I thought it would give it a chance and I'm glad that I did. Doc McStuffins is a blend of Dr. Doolittle and Toy Story, in which the main character pretends to be a doctor and her patients are are toys. Each episode features two segments, so there are 10 adventures on the DVD. All of the episodes are cute and the computer-animation is done really well. Overall, I enjoyed watching Doc McStuffins: Cuddle Me Lambie and I recommend it to others.
