Now available on Blu-ray and DVD from RLJ Entertainment is the science fiction flick The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One. Written & directed by Shane Abbess, the film stars Kellan Lutz, Daniel MacPherson, Isabel Lucas, and Rachel Griffiths.

The film is set in the future where the government has colonized a new planet. After being assigned to the planet, Lt. Final Thoughts

I don't watch very many science fiction films anymore, as many of them aren't worth taking the time to watch them. The only reason why I wanted to review The Osiris Child is because I was intrigued by the cover art on the Blu-ray slipcover/jacket.

The movie's plot is very basic, involving a father racing against time to save his daughter. For a low-budget film, the CGI effects are pretty good. There are some old-school effects in the film as well, which you'll know what I mean when see what the creatures look like. The acting from the entire cast is excellent.

The picture and sound quality on the Blu-ray are topnotch. There are many special features on the disc.

Overall, I enjoyed watching The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One. While the plot is a little predictable, the film is still entertaining.
