Final Thoughts

Like many of the theatrical films during the summer, Cars 3 didn't do very well. Sure, it made nearly $380 million at the box office, but with a $175 million budget, plus whatever the marketing cost, it definitely underperformed. Lot of this probably had to do with the fact that the previous film, Cars 2, received mixed to negative reviews.

Personally, I didn't like Cars 2 at all and I wasn't a big fan of the original film either. That being said, I still like most Pixar films, so I decided to keep an open mind while watching Cars 3 on Digital HD early this morning.

I ended up being pleasantly surprised, as it turns out Cars 3 is a lot better than the second film, and slightly better than the original. The computer-animation is excellent, especially during the racing scenes, the entire voice-cast are great, and the overall story is clever with a few heartwarming moments. There are plenty of special features that comes with the Digital HD.
Cars 3 is available on MoviesAnywhere.com!
