Reviw - Really Woolly: 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury

Tommy Nelson; 192 pages; $12.99; Amazon
Now available in bookstores from Tommy Nelson (a division of Thomas Nelson Publishers) is Really Woolly: 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury by Bonnie Rickner Jensen with illustrations by Donna Chapman and Julie Sawyer Phillips.

The Really Wolly brands was created by DaySpring greeting cards over fifteen years ago. The cute little sheep has been featured on cards, gifts, books, plush toys, and animated DVDs.

The Really Woolly: 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury is a 192-page hardcover containing five previously releases titles - Bedtime Bible Promises; Bedtime Prayers; Bible Stories; Good Night, God; Little Book of Bible Verses; Nighttime Lullabies; and 12 Little Blessings.

Final Thoughts: I must be hiding under a rock or something, because I have never even heard of Really Woolly before reading this book. I don't even recall ever seeing any of the Dayspring greeting cards.

Each 5-minute story is meant to teach little ones about God. Chapter One begins with "The Creator," which is basically a kid-friendly version of Genesis, and ends with Chapter 30 "God Is With You" ("Great Commission"). Each pages features adorable, colorful illustrations.

The very page features a "This Book Belongs To," where you can print your child's name (or whomever owns the book) as well as whoever "presented" the book to them. There is also spots for the date and occasion (birthday, Christmas, etc.). Page 10 is called "A Prayer from Someone Who Loves Me" and Page 11 is called "My Own Bedtime Prayers," along with blank lines, so whomever gave you the book can write in it and/or you can write your own prayer in it.

Overall, this is an adorable little book for children, well, not that little, as it's a big book with plenty of illustrations. There is a long ribbon book marker attached to the spine of the book. With Christmas just around the corner, the Really Woolly: 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury would make a great gift.
