Review:
Arriving on DVD this week from Nickelodeon is SpongeBob ScaryPants Collection, featuring two previously released titles - SpongeBob SquarePants: Halloween - 5 Spooky Sea Tales & SpongeBob SquarePants: Ghouls Fools. The set is being released just in time for Halloween.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Halloween - 5 Spooky Sea Tales features 10 spooky episodes:
Scaredy Pants (from Season 1)
Imitation Krabs (from Season 2)
Frankendoodle (from Season 2)
I Was a Teenage Gary (from Season 1)
Squidward, The Unfriendly Ghost (from Season 1)
The Secret Box (from Season 2)
Band Geeks (from Season 2)
Welcome To The Chum Bucket (from Season 2)
My Pretty Seahorse (from Season Season 3)
Idiot Box (from Season 3)
Special features includes SpongeBob Scardey Pants Music Video and SpongeBob Video Game Sneak Peek.
SpongeBob Squarepants: Ghouls Fools features seven creepy episodes:
Ghoul Fools (double-length episode from Season 8)
The Curse of Bikini Bottom (from Season 7)
ARRGH! (from Season 1)
Ghost Host (from Season 4)
Your Shoe's United (from Season 2)
Born Again Krabs (from Season 3)
Money Talks (from Season 5)
It is that time a year when Halloween themed titles will start being released. Typically, these previously released titles have been repackaged. SpongeBob ScaryPants Collection contains two previously released DVDs with a brand new slipcover. From fighting ghost pirates to treasure hunting, there are plenty of laughts and frights in these family-friendly episodes. The collection retails at under $15, which isn't a bad price for two DVDs. Overall, the SpongeBob ScaryPants Collection contains 17 hauntingly fun tales that I'm sure both kids and adult will enjoy watching.
