[Blu-ray Review]—Last Looks (2022)

Thanks to the now-saturated streaming services, theatrical releases are becoming a thing of the past unless the film is Marvel or connected to another big IP. Everything else goes straight to VOD, followed by a Digital, DVD, or Blu-ray release, such as the thriller Last Looks, which landed on physical media last month from RLJE Films. Ever heard it? If you said no, join the club, as I never heard of the title until I received a press release for the Blu-ray - and that was near the release date.

3 Great PC Games to Play on Your Coffee Break

If you are one of the millions of people who now work from home and find your working day to be long, consider taking regular short breaks. It is easy to get completely focussed on one task to find that you have done nothing but that for hours without a break. Productivity suffers, and it makes sense to do something else for five or ten minutes every hour to give you a change of pace and keep concentration levels high. When you have poured hours into a task, why not get up, grab yourself a coffee and settle down to some exceptional quality gaming for 10 minutes. These games are great for quick pick-up and play sessions and will give you a brief respite from your working world.

{Sunday Post} - After the Eclipse, Death of the Black Widow, and Last Looks

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

Good Evening, Everyone!

  • I'm back! Well, I didn't go anywhere. I just skipped last week's post.
  • I'll be playing catch-up on reviews this week.
  • I'm glad there's only one episode of Star Trek: Picard: Season Two because it's poorly written.
  • I have high hopes for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Why? From looking at the trailer, there are actual spaceships in it.
  • The Kansas City Royals continue their losing streak. The only good news about a losing season is that maybe the new owners will fire the team's president, Dayton Moore, along with his college buddy/pitching coach Cal Eldred. One can only hope.

What Am I Reading?

I finally finished Terence Fisher: Master of Gothic Cinema by Tony Dalton. It's a fantastic biography, and I plan on writing a review for it soon. Currently, I'm on Chapter Fourteen (page 180) in A Relative Murder by Jude Deveraux. I'm planning on reading the rest of the book early tomorrow morning. Then I'll start reading Death of the Black Widow by James Patterson and J.D. Barker.

[Review] - Shadows in the Mind's Eye by Janyre Tromp

About the Book

Charlotte Anne Mattas longs to turn back the clock. Before her husband, Sam went to serve his country in the war, he was the man everyone could rely on—responsible, intelligent, and loving. But the person who’s come back to their family farm is very different from the protector Annie remembers. Sam’s experience in the Pacific theater has left him broken in ways no one can understand—but that everyone is learning to fear.

What Are the Benefits of Advertising?

Advertising has many benefits, but none outweigh the costs. Sir William Leverhulm once said it was "educational" because it aimed to educate buyers about new goods and ways of life. It also helped break inertia, forcing people to let go of old habits. Advertising also increases the utility of given commodities. Because it emphasizes the qualities of the good, consumers will be more likely to purchase it if it has higher utility. Here are 7 advantages of advertising your businesses.
