Muscle Mauler Max Review

I'm sure almost everyone has heard of a foam roller, which is used by physical therapists and athletes to massage overused muscles. The rollers can be purchased anywhere that carries fitness products.

Recently, I received the Muscle Mauler Max, a deep tissue foam roller, which is made by Master Of Muscle.

While most foam rollers are made from
100% foam, the Muscle Mauler Max has EVA foam built around a 24" x 5" long heavy plastic pipe. What makes this standout from other rollers is it's unique bumpy matrix design, which will reach greater dual pressure zones, giving your muscles the ultimate massage.

It can be used on your neck, knees, quads, lower and upper back, shoulders and hamstrings to help to get rid of any kinks you might have from exercising. It can also be used as way to stretch your body out before running, yoga, Pilates, cross fitness, P90X and any other workout program.

Review:

Arriving on DVD from Nickelodeon is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: NYC Showdown, featuring three exciting episodes from the 2003 series. There are no special features or extras on the single-disc.

The TMNT series was produced by produced by 4Kids Entertainment and Mirage Studios and aired from 2003 to 2009. It dropped the wackiness of the original animated series and was more in line with the comic books. There were were several three-episode DVD releases and a few season volumes released before Nickelodeon purchased the franchise. NYC Showdown and The Search For Splinter (available June 9, 2015) will mark the first DVD releases from the 2003 incarnation that Nickelodeon has released.

NYC Showdown features episodes 21, 22 & 23 (Return to New York, Pt. 1 -3). The turtles (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael) and Master Splinter barely escaped New York after Shredder and the Foot Clan invaded their home. They take refuge at the farmhouse that belongs to a relative of Casey Jones. After they had fully recovered from the injuries, they decide to return to New York to make a final strike against Shredder.

3 Reasons Why Your Editor Should Be Your Best Friend

A lot of writers feel wary of editors and editing. These writers are afraid that using an editor will remove their voice and meaning from the story and transform it into something else entirely.

Although there are plenty of bad editors out there, an editor is not something to fear and feedback on writing will usually only make it better. Here are three reasons why using an editor can improve your writing.

Editors Provide Balance

If you think about writing like the Force from Star Wars, editors are the Jedi of writing. Their job is to provide balance to any story to make sure that evil and good don’t take up too much room in the story. Editors offer the right balance between plot, descriptions, narrative, dialogue, and every other element of a story or other piece of writing to create a balanced, entertaining piece that presents the story in the best way possible. Adding in enough “bad” elements can prevent a story from feeling too sappy and fake. Conversely, not enough “good” can make a story feel bleak. Editors help all writers find that balance.

Editors Refuse Sub-Par Writing

Lazy writing is easy. Good writing is hard. Most writers start with lazy writing. The words are a rough draft on the page. The editor’s job is to find the weak points of any story (with plot and with writing style) and tweak it until it is precise and offers the best version of the story. No one would want to read any of To Kill a Mockingbird if it sounded like a third-grader wrote it.

Editors Push Limits

A good editor is designed to help writers reach their maximum potential. Similar to how editors don’t allow lazy writing; an editor will help a writer find their best writing limits. Maybe you don’t think you can write as well as bestselling author Famous One, but with a little direction and pushing, maybe you can write something just as good. Editors search for perfection and find it in you.

No matter what industry you are in, editing is one of the most important parts of the writing process. You can do some of your own editing, but the benefit of using an outside source (and preferably a professional editor) is invaluable and will make the end result that much better.

Do you use an editor? Why or why not?

Review - Fit Evolution Steel Strong

I started out the beginning of the year with several "A New Me In 2015" posts, whichfeatured several health and fitness releated products reviews. I guess I must be procrastinating as I received the Fit Evolution program at the end of December and I'm just now getting around to writing a review for it.

It seems that everybody is on the go these days, so many people just don't have time to get a full hour workout at the gym. Fit Evolution is a six-week program with each workout lasting around 10 -12 minutes. There is no equipment or weights needed for any of the routines.

The workouts include:

Week 1 - Get Ready / Get Ripped
Week 2 - Tight N Toned / Firm N Fine
Week 3 - Serious Strength / Steel Strong
Week 4 - Get Ready II / Get Ripped II
Week 5 - Tight N Toned II / Firm N Fine II
Week 6 - Serious Strength II / Steel Strong

Review - Finders Keepers by Stephen King

Finders Keepers
by Stephen King
Publisher: Scribner
Pub. Date: June 2, 2015
ISBN: 978-1501100079
Pages: 448
Buy Link: Amazon

Release Date:

This time around we don't have to wait 30+ years for a sequel to a Stephen King's novel, like we had to with Doctor Sleep (the sequel to The Shining) as Finders Keeper, the sequel to last year's Mr. Mercedes, arrives in bookstores this week.

Unlike the first the novel, the first 154 pages is devoted to the backstory of the new characters and sets up the main plot. We're introduced to the author of the Jimmy Gold trilogy, John Rothstein, whom is viciously murdered by four men that invaded his home in 1978! The robbers, led by Morris Bellamy, steal the entire contents of what was in Rothstein's safe - dozens of envelopes with $500 in them and stacks of notebooks, all of which contains unpublished writings by Rothstein, even two new Jimmy Gold novels. Bellamy has been a major fan of Rothstein's writings for years and the last two Jimmy Gold stories are now his, well, that is until he gets arrested for rape.

Skip ahead to the year 2010, where the story centers on teenager Pete Saubers. His father was injured by the Mercedes Killer a year before and their family has been struggling financially ever since. After investigating the area behind their house, Pete discovers an old chest inside of a hollow tree. Lo and behold, he finds Rothstein's lost works and a slew of money, which solves his parents financial problems. Knowing that his mother would just give the money to the police, Pete comes up with clever plan to make sure his parents receive the cash.

Jump forward four years later and the money has ran out, but the Sauber's money problems are still there, so Pete, who now loves literature, plans on selling the Rothstein's notebooks one by one, but he is unaware that Bellamy has finally been paroled!

Enhanced Creatine Formula Review

You don't have to be a bodybuilder to want to lift weights as most us want to get into the best shape we can be. Using a dietary supplement, such as, such as creatine, nitric oxide and BCAA, can help your muscles recover from an intense workout.

A few weeks ago, I was sent a bottle of Enhanced Creatine Formula from Hyperion as well as a bottle of Fenugreek Complex (60 caps).

The Enhanced Creatine Formula is micronized and unflavored. It features 5g of creatine and 500mg of taurine in each scoop (60 scoops/servings per bottle). It's gluten-free, vegan friendly and made with all natural ingredients.

The Fenugreek Complex is an enhanced creatine uptake, featuring a low-carb formula. Each serving (60 per bottle) has 500mg of fenugreek, which will help optimize hormones and improve creatine uptake in your body. It's recommended to take one serving with the Enhanced Creatine Formula.

How exactly do you use the the Enhanced Creatine Formula?

Well, just mix a scoop of the creatine in with a protein shake or mix it in with your favorite juice as it needs a little bit of sugar to get the creatine into your system.
