When People Need Cookies the Most

You can only drive a car for so long before it needs refueling, and humans are not much different. We eat and drink regular foods every day, and that keeps our physical energy up, but sometimes it takes cookies to raise our spirits and our emotional energy. Sometimes a delivery of a plate of cookies shows up at just the right time, and turns a bad day into a delightful one. If you’re looking to pick something out from Cookies by Design and give it as a gift, it’s important to get the timing right. Fortunately, there are a few occasions that make for perfect timing.

Holidays
The holiday season is a great time to give a plate of cookies to someone you know, or even someone you don’t know. It may seem like everybody is baking sweets this time of year, but you never know who is feeling left out. When the seasonal music is playing and the snow is falling, it’s very important that everyone have a snack to nibble on. Other holidays, especially birthdays, call for celebratory cookies as well.

Recovering
If somebody is sick or hurt and is stuck at home recovering, it’s a great idea to send a get-well-soon plate or basket of treats. Spending all your time resting and recovering can be frustrating and boring, so anything you can do to make this recovery period more enjoyable will be much appreciated.

Three Tips for Buying a New Car in a Hurry

Sometimes you can plan ahead and take your time to look for the perfect deal for a new car. Sometimes, though, an emergency happens, and you have to speed up your purchase for a Mazda 2 in Kansas City. When this happens, you still want to find the best deal available. Therefore, try using the following suggestions:

Don’t be in too big of a hurry.

Research your financing options first.

Learn what the current market is.

Don’t Be in a Big Hurry
If you have been in an accident and don’t have your car, you will feel pressure to get a replacement as soon as possible. Resist the urge to rush to the dealership to buy a car at the first place you visit. Rushing too fast will limit your options, and you might end up with a car that you really don’t want and can’t afford. If you need to rent a car for a few days to alleviate some pressure, do so. The cost of the car rental can be made up easily by getting a better deal on your car purchase.

Books Can Make The Perfect Gifts

There is barely over two weeks until Christmas Day, so if you haven't been finished your gift shopping, you should probably do so before all the good stuff is taken. Some of the best selling gifts are Blu-rays/DVDs, PS4 games and Furby Bloom, but many people forget that one little book can make the perfect gift.

My Top 5 Books for Christmas are:
  1. Inferno by Dan Brown
  2. Doctor Sleep by Stephen King
  3. Joyland by Stephen King
  4. Cross My Heart by James Patterson
  5. The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (J.K. Rowling)

Of course a Kindle or a Nook can make a wonderful gift for anybody, but I prefer to actually hold a book in my hands, as nothing smells better than a freshly printed book. A book can be a wonderful gift for kids too. I recommend Treasure Hunters and I Even Funnier, which are both co-written by James Patterson.

Is Going to the Movies Still Worth It?

Chances are you’ve likely noticed that in the past two decades, the price to a see a movie in theaters has skyrocketed. First, you have to purchase a ticket, which according to the National Association of Theatre Owners costs on average almost $9. On top of that, if you want one of the popcorn and soda combos, you’re likely going to be paying another $10. Add it all up and a night at the movies surely can do damage to a wallet.

Having said all that, why do we still find ourselves standing in long lines to see the latest films? Aside from the fact that films in theatres aren’t yet available at home, one could argue that you pay for the movie theatre experience. Not only does going to the movies get you out of the house, but sitting in a comfy chair, with the lights down low and sound up high, the screen is huge and there are no interruptions. But nowadays, these are all things you can get at home!

For all these reasons, one can see the appeal of going to the movies, however now, more than ever, there seem to be some drawbacks to seeing a film in a theater.

Aside from the cost of a movie nowadays, many people find themselves skipping the theater for the three big following reasons:
