Sunday Post / It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @  Caffeinated Book Reviewer!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by The Book Date.

Good Afternoon, Everyone!

I took a slight break from writing reviews last week, but I should be returning to the world of blogging this week with several planned reviews. When I say planned, it means I haven't written them yet!

Thanks to the bad weather last week, we didn't get any more packing done at my grandma's apartment, except for the little bit we did yesterday afternoon. We're at a point where's there's no more room to stack boxes. My aunt did get a storage unit, but it won't be available until maybe Wednesday.

What Am I Currently Reading?

Thanks to a snowstorm, I had the extra time to finish reading The Passage, as well as its sequel The Twelve and The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin. I'll be posting reviews for them sometime this week. As for my next read, it'll be the thriller The Lost Night by Andrea Bratz.

In the Mail

Once again, I didn't receive any review copies in the mail. However, I did receive Return to Fear Street:Drop Dead Gorgeous by R.L. Stine, which I had pre-ordered on Amazon awhile ago.

Great Finds

Since my local Walmart refuses to restock their book section, as well as many other sections in their store this year, I've turned to the Dollar Tree store for books. Last Sunday, I picked up to The Golden Specific by S.E. Grove and Signwave: An Aftershock Novel by Andrew Vachss, and yesterday I stumbled upon the Hard Case paperback Straight Cut by Madison Smart Bell.

Even my local thrift store had a new batch of books; well, not not exactly new, but you all know what I mean. I picked up the 3-books-in-1 "Yukon Quest" by Tracie Peterson, which features the novels Treasures of the North, Ashes and Ice, and Rivers of Gold. I also got Eve by Anna Carey and Riders by Veronica Rossi.

New On My Kindle

New books on my Kindle are the horror novels Stoker's Wilde by Steven Hopstaken & Melissa Prusi and Broken by Betsy Reavley.

  1. I have The Passage in print but it is such a chunkster I have been thinking about getting it in audio.
I like the look of the Peterson book(s) and now I'm going to check into Riders.
Have a good week with Happy Reading!

  2. I haven't read any of the books you picked up, but Stoker's Wilde looks exciting. I guess you got an ARC since it's not due out until May. I did get a Jacquie Biggar novel. Romance is definitely not my usual reading genre, but I read an excerpt of Skating on Thin Ice and pre-ordered the 99cent book. (It's due out tomorrow.)

  4. That must have been some snowstorm! That trilogy by Justin Cronin is made up of three LONG books! Lucky you to get all that reading time! Hope you didn't have to do too much shoveling to pay for it.
