My Answer:

I don't have a landline phone; I only have a cellphone. If the cell rings while I'm reading a book, I would probably put the book down and check to see who is calling. If I don't recognize the number, I won't answer the call, and then I would return to reading the book. As for the doorbell, yes, I would put the book down and answer the door.

  1. Luckily I don't have a doorbell! If you want to drop in unannounced, you will have to phone me... And then I'll just use your strategy. My husband is actually my biggest disturbance when I try to read!!!

  2. Same! People generally don't just call to chat anymore either. If someone is calling me I know they feel the information is important enough to try and speak to me ASAP. Otherwise they'd just send a text.

  3. I am the same way with my cell phone as well. Have a great weekend!

  4. I'm the same way with the phone. I'm much more likely to ignore the door though, because all we get at our place are solicitors.
