Brieftons Salad Spinner Review

While my blog's Holiday Gift Guide doesn't officially start until Nov. 27th, I thought until then I could feature a few reviews on some products that would make a great Christmas gift this year.

About a month ago, I was sent the Brieftons Salad Spinner to test out and review. I've seen cooks/chefs on the food channel use salad spinners, but I've never seen them in the stores, so I eager to try it out.

Note: I live in a small town with only a Walmart and a Dollar General store, so I don't have access to many kitchen items.

If you want to live a healthy lifestyle, then eating vegetables and salads is a must. The Brieftons Salad Spinner is a simple and effective way to wash and dry vegetables. The spinner is made from ABS plastic that is BPA-free. It features one clear bowl, a strainer and a lid, which the handle on the lid can spin the strainer.

Let me start out by stating that this is the first salad spinner that I've used, so I didn't know quite what to expect when I received it. The clear bowl is made out of clear, thin plastic, so you need to be careful to not to crack it. The white strainer is more durable. The lid seems to be well constructed and the handle can be easily locked when you don't want to use the spinner. I do like that I can store the vegetables in the spinner bowl, so I keep it in the fridge and save it for another meal. Overall, I'm impressed with the Brieftons Salad Spinner as it easily washes and dries salads.
