Microwave Splatter Guard Product Review

It's a brand new year, so it is time for me to start reviewing a few new products, including the Microwave Splatter Guard from Ramini Brands, which I received in the mail last Sunday. Yes, I wrote that correctly. I received the splatter guard on a Sunday morning as I have an Amazon Prime account.

In this day of age almost everyone has a microwave as it is more convenient to use than a stove/oven. While I use my microwave mostly for boiling water for a cup of instant coffee or to brew a cup of tea, I do use it several times a week to warm up leftovers or to defrost meat. I also use it to pop a bag popcorn. The only problem I have is that while the food is warming up, it kinda splatters inside the microwave.

The Microwave Splatter Guard measures 10" x 12" which should fit in most standard size microwaves. It is made from food grade plastic and it is BPA free. It is also resistant to rust and corrosion.

Let me start out by stating that I have been using another splatter guard for about two years, but it only has two air-holes and over time the top of it has burnt slightly. What I like about the Ramini Brands' Microwave Splatter Guard is that has 72 small air-holes (not counting the holes on the handles). As you can see from the pictures I took, the splatter guard fits nicely over a bowl. The only problems I have with the splatter guard is that it can't be put into a dishwasher and the little fact that there are no sides on the guard. Because there are no sides, the spatter guard will be just laying there on top of my plate of food, which means I would have to wash the guard every time I use it. Besides from my nitpicking, I do like the Microwave Splatter Guard.
