Dermaceutica New York Vitamin C 20% Professional Serum Review

It is seems Vitamin C is becoming more and more popular in beauty products, especially in facial serums, which is one of the reasons why I have been trying out different creams, gels and serums this month.

I received a 1fl oz bottle of Dermaceutica New York Vitamin C 20% Professional Serum last week. This brand uses a triple action anti-aging collagen booster formula that is meant to help reduces wrinkles, dark circles & spots and puffiness. There are no added alcohol, parabens or fragrances in this serum. It is FDA Approved and certified facility. The product is made in the USA!

The ingredients are:

Purified Water
L-Asorbic Acid
Zemea Propanediol
Green Tea Extract
Sodium Hyaluronate
Phytic Acid
Sodium Lactate
Caviar Extract
Tocopheryl Acetate
Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate
Polysorbate 80
Citric Acid
Xanthan Gum
Citrus Aurantilum (Orange) Oil
Benzyl Alcohol
Capryly Glycol

I haven't been using the serum long enough to find out if it will de-age my skin, but I think over time it can clean and tighten my skin, especially if I use a moisturizer afterward. The first thing I noticed is that the serum is a lot thinner than others that I have tried out recently. It also has a slight odor, but that disappears quickly once you massage the oil into your skin. Overall, I have enjoyed using the Dermaceutica New York Vitamin C 20% Professional Serum and I do recommend it to others.

  1. It looks rather yellow in the dispenser above... has it oxidated? Or maybe that's just the color of the dropper?

    1. The serum has a yellow-orange color. I don't think it has oxidized.
