MicroTouch SwitchBlade Review

One of the most common setbacks about getting older for men is that we get unwanted hair or more like fuzz in our ears and noses. There are many little razors on the market that are suppose to help out with the problem. I have owned several of them over the years. Those razors start out decent, but they quickly stop cutting and they never quite work right.

For the last two weeks, I have been trying out the new product MicroTouch Switchblade. You have probably seen the commercials on television or have seen the product while checking out at Walmart, as part of the As Seen On TV shelves.

The little razor is a 2-in-1 trimmer, requiring 2 AAA batteries, and featuring a built-in-light, German Stainless Steel Blades and 4 snap guides. You can remove unwanted hair anywhere at anytime and it is gentle on sensitive skin. It is great for quick haircuts, trimming eyebrows, edging your beard or even body grooming (chest, back, arms, and legs). And of course you can use it to trim your nose and ears, as well as your sideburns.

The MircoTouch Switchblade (valued at $19.99) has two different blades, one on each end, with two attachments for both sides. The ear/nose trimmer has a see-through plastic lid. When turned on, a bright light will appear helping you trim your nose and ears, but it can also be used on beards and eyebrows. To access the other blade, you have to pull the orange handle up to expose the blade. It can be used for body hair or with the attachments it can be used to trim your sideburns or be used  for a quick overhaul haircut.

Being disappointed with past razors, I was surprised at the high quality of the MicroTouch Switchblade. I like the little light and the guide attachments. It’s easy to use and cleanup is hassle-free, though there is a small brush to help dust the hair off of the blades. Overall, I'm impressed with the MicroTouch Switchblade and I recommend it to others.
