Question of the Week: What is a deal breaker for you in a book? For example, do you abhor love triangles? Or can't deal with bad editing?
My: Answer: Bad editing doesn't bother me in self-published works, but it does when I catch several errors in big publishing houses books. Love triangles don't bother me, unless they are between a teen, a vampire and a werewolf, which has been done to death.
Same. I don't have that many issues with editing errors when those books are self-published. And love triangles.. No. There are 2 in 1000 that are well-written, but the rest? :/

LOL. Yeah, anything that's been done to death tends to be a deal breaker. Great answers. Old follower via GFC. My FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday! :D
ReplyDeleteI agree, anything that has gone through a publisher's 'hands' should be held to a higher standard. I do lower my expectations for online or free fiction though. New GFC follower.
