Sam Waters and his Lexi Blake go into the Chiller House store while in Horrorland. He buys a phone-like candy dispenser called a Phoney-Phone and a package Insta-Gro Pet. Late that night while at the dinner table, Sam asks his parents if he could have a pet hamster. They told him that he would have to show that he was responsible enough to have one. Sam comes up with a great idea, he gets a job a pet store to show how responsible he is. Oh no! Sam soon finds out the hamsters in the store have ate his Insta-Gro Pet.

“Little Shop of Hamsters” will make every kid think twice about getting a hamster for a pet. The cover is a little frightening, and kids will love it. Once again, the story ends in a cliffhanger that will be resolved later on in the series.

  1. I should get this one for my husband. He definitely doesn't think hamsters should be pets!
