Bookends #9: Goosebumps, Christmas Titles, and YouTube Channel!

Well, it's been awhile since my last Bookends post, which was back in July. The summer months were very busy for me, especially when I had to kick myself in the butt and started exercising again. Since August I have loss a total of 21.5 pounds (as of today), which mostly occurred after I changed my eating habits. Tomorrow, I begin week 7 of Beachbody's Insanity workout program. I have loss 12.5 of those 21.5 pounds since I started the program.

If you've been reading this blog for the last few weeks, then you would know I have fallen behind in reviewing books. Actually, I have about 20 already read books that are piled up waiting to be reviewed. This why I had recently began a new series of posts called "Review Catch Up Marathon." Hopefully, I can try to get these books reviewed by November 1st.

What am I currently reading?

I'm currently reading Goosebumps Slappyworld: I'm Slappy's Evil Twin. Hopefully, if everything goes as planned, I should have the book read and reviewed by late tonight.

What am I reading next?

Next, I'm reading Cars, Coffee, and a Badass Ninja Toilet by K.C. Hilton. I'll probably start reading it tomorrow. After that book, I'm planning on reading Haunted by James Patterson and James O. Born.

Bookends #8

What am I currently reading?

Well, I've been busy for the last two weeks, so my plan of reading Royally Roma have changed, though my bookmark is in place. I had to read a few books (His Guilt, Grounded Hearts, etc.) for upcoming book tours, which one of those reviews will be posed later today. Hopefully, I will find a some time to read Royally Roma this week. I'm also reading Seven Stones To Stand Or Fall by Diana Gabaldon, which I received on Saturday.

What am I reading next?

I'm still planning on reading The Enchantment of Emma Fletcher by L.D. Crichton next, probably followed by Royally Romanov by Teri Wilson.

Bookends #7

What am I currently reading?

After finishing Alien Covenant: The Official Novelization by Alan Dean Foster last week (look for my review on here sometime this week), I had to squeeze in several reads for upcoming book tours, which includes The Captain's Daughter, Freedom's Price, and Under a Summer Sky. I also had time to finish reading the novella collection An Amish Summer.

Next, I'm finally going to start reading Royally Roma by Teri Wilson!

What am I reading next?

Most likely, I'm going to be reading The Enchantment of Emma Fletcher by L.D. Crichton next; followed by either Ties That Bind by Cindy Woodsmall or Ink And Bone by Rachel Caine.

Bookends #6

What am I currently reading?

After nearly a month, I finally finished reading Into The Water by Paula Hawkins, which I was extremely disappointed with it. Read my review here!

I had planned on returning the book to the library on Saturday, but it was closed due to weather damage. There was a horrible thunderstorm with 60+mp winds on Friday night & early Saturday morning and the part of the library's roof was torn off. There was also water damage to the inside, mostly on the office side of the building.

Anyhow, the book drop was reopened, so I returned the book today. Repairs to the library are currently underway. Visit the library's Facebook page for their most recent update.

As for my current read, I'm reading Alien Covenant: The Official Novelization by Alan Dean Foster.

What am I reading next?

My current plan is to finally read Royally Roma by Teri Wilson, that is if I don't get distracted by another book.

Bookends #5

What am I currently reading?

Well, I'm still reading Into The Water by Paula Hawkins. To be honest, I have only read a few pages of it since checking it out at the library. What's the holdup? I had to read a few review titles last week, such as The Fifth Petal, and Book One and Two in The Girls Of Spindrift series. A blog tour suddenly came across my radar (actually, I had forgot about it), so I now have to read Naomi's Hope either tonight or early in the morning, as my review needs to be posted tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll have time tomorrow to start reading Into The Water, again! The book is due back at the library on the 20th, but I like to get it read by Friday.

I also have a bookmark already slipped inside the Alien Covenant paperback, as I've already started reading a few pages of it.

What am I reading next?

I'm still planning on reading Royally Roma by Teri Wilson as soon as I can. However, before then, I"ll have to read Freedom's Price by Christine Johnson for an upcoming book tour.

Bookends #4

What am I currently reading?

Last week was a little hectic for me, so I didn't have too much time for reading. I'm currently reading Into The Water by Paula Hawkins, which I had planned on reading last week. If everything goes as planned, I'm going to finish reading the book this week and return it to the library on Saturday.

What am I reading next?

Next, I'll be taking a crack at my to-be-read pile. I'll probably read Royally Roma by Teri Wilson, which I had received an ARC a few months back.

What am I currently reading?

I

I hope everyone has had a good Memorial Day. I've been under the weather for the past few days with a cold sore, so I haven't felt like reading much. However, I am currently reading the historical-fiction Dragon Teeth by Michael Crichton, which I hope to finish either tonight or early tomorrow morning.

What am I reading next?

Well, I plan on quickly reading The Great Chattanooga Bicycle Race as I need to have my review posted on June 1st! Then I'm jumping right into Into The Water by Paula Hawkins, which is the book I checked out at the library last Tuesday. I wanting to get it read this week, so I can return it on Saturday.

Bookends #2

What am I currently reading?

I'm currently reading The Broken Road by Richard Paul Evans that I had recently checked out at my local library. Actually, I read the prologue last Wednesday, but I haven't had a chance to read anymore until today. The novel is short, so I plan on reading most it tonight and hopefully finish it early in the morning. I have another book reserved at the library. I would to take this book back and pick up the other title tomorrow.

What am I reading next?

Well, the book I have reserved at the library is Into the Water by Paula Hawkins, so I plan on reading it later this week. Before then I hope to start reading Dragon Teeth by Michael Crichton.

Are there any new books on my bookshelves?

Bookends #1

Originally, I was going to participate in today's "It's Monday, what are you reading?" meme, but instead I've decided to start a new weekly post called Bookends, where I'll be discussing about what I'm currently reading, what I'll be reading next, and anything else related to the world of books.

What am I currently reading?

Last Monday, I started reading the reprint paperback of the 10th anniversary edition of American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I had purchased the title at my local Walmart several weeks ago. My plan was to read the book before the television series debuted on STARZ, but I didn't start reading it until the day after the second episode aired. At a whopping 700+ pages, I've manged to read 456 pages out of a whopping 700+ pages in one week. The novel is very graphic, as well as the television series, and I don't think it would appeal to very many readers. Once I'm finished reading, I'll make sure to post a review on it.

What am I reading next?

Over the weekend, I decided it was best off that I stop the by the library and make sure my card was up-to-date, as I hadn't checked out a book there in quite awhile. I ended up checking out The Broken Road by Richard Paul Evans, so that will mostly likely be my next read. Hopefully, if everything goes right, I should be reading the book by Wednesday.

Are there any new books on my bookshelves?

Of course I do! I have four new James Patterson titles:

16th Seduction
Two from the Heart
Private: Gold
Detective Cross

Two from the Heart contains two romance novellas; one by James Patterson & Emily Raymond and the other by Frank Costantini and Brian Sitts. 16th Seduction is the sixteenth installment in the Woman's Murder Club series. Private: Gold and Detective Cross are Bookshots novellas. I had thought Little, Brown and Company had stopped releasing Bookshots paperbacks and were only releasing the titles in ebook formats, but I must have been mistaken as these two titles were released this month.
