I have had a a string of good luck this week. I won a $5 Amazon.com gift card for being part of the Black Lion Virtual Book Tours for the month of October. Then I was first Blogger of the Month through Litfuse Publicity Group for the month of October. I was featured on their blog and I'll be receiving a $25 Amazon.com gift card. Now, I'm a featured blogger for the week #120!

When did you start blogging?
I started blogging on April Fools Day 2009!
What is your favorite part of book blogging?
Wow! Great Question. My favorite part of book blogging is meeting other bloggers who share the same passion in reading as I do. I thought I was only the person with overstuffed bookshelves, but I was wrong. There are many dedicated book bloggers/reviewers on the web and I would have never known anything about them if it wasn't for blogging.

Friday Blog Hops
Question of the week: How long does it take you to read a book?
My Answer: It really depends on the page length, my schedule, and how interested I am in the book. If I am glued to plot, I may read it in an hour or two. If the book is a thousand pages, it may take awhile or not. I remember reading a few of the Harry Potter books in one night. If a beginning of a book is slow, or if the characters are a bore, it may take me longer to read it.

The Internet is Back, Mirror, Mirror, More Books, & Hops
I watched Mirror, Mirror earlier today, and I have mixed feelings about the movie. Considering the millions put into the movie, I was disappointed that the studio couldn't afford to shoot the forest scenes in an actual forest and not a sound stage. The movie is more Mel Brooks satire than it is Grimm.
Many books in the mail this week: Inescapable by Nancy Mehl; Love Finds You in Mackinac Island, Michigan by Melanie Dobson; Cancer on the Brain by Jay Lefevers; The Pigeon Pie Mystery by Julia Stuart; Yahoo Income by Dana E.Blazis and Sharon L. Cohen; Night Buddies and the Pineapple Cheesecake Scare by Sands Hetherington; Children of Angels by Katheryn Dahlstorm; Giants in the Land by Clark Rich Burbidge; Tea Party Culture War by Stephen Johnston; Mindful of Him by Hollis Hughes; and The Search by Shelley Shepard Gray. The latter is the only one I actually ordered, the rest are from publishers or authors. As you can see I have lots of reading to do in July! When I read and review The Pigeon Pie Mystery, there will be a giveaway!
