Description

The half-shell heroes go full throttle on their final missions!

First, the turtles clash with some classic movie monsters before traveling to another dimension and allying themselves with the great rabbit samurai Miyamoto Usagi. And in a post-apocalyptic feature, a battle-worn Raphael and Donatello must fight their way through a mutant wasteland in order to reunite with their long-lost brothers. Plus, old enemies return for a shocking rumble in a special double episode!

My Thoughts

It's almost hard to believe that the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles computer-animated series has come to an end this year. Now available on 2-disc DVD set is Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Final Chapter, which features the final episodes of the final season (which was renamed Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

The first discs contains the 67-minutes series-finale Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse, which is actually three episodes edited together ("The Wasteland Warrior," "The Impossible Desert," and "Carmageddon!"), and four 22-minute Montsers vs. Mutants episodes ("The Curse of Savanti Romero," "The Crypt of Dracula," "The Frankenstein Experiment," and "Monsters Among Us").

The second disc contains the two-part episode "When Worlds Collide", and the three 22-minute The Samurai episodes ("Yojimbo," "Osoroshi no Tabi," and "Kagayake! Kintaro").

Set around Halloween, the Monsters s. Mutants episodes centers on the turtles being sent through time by Renet to stop the evil Savanti Romero from turning the citizens of New York City into monsters.

Mona Lisa and Sal Commander travel to Earth in When Worlds Collide to help the turtles defend their city against the Newtralizer and Lord Dregg.

The turtles are transported to an alternate dimension in The Samurai episodes, where they meet Miyamoto Usagi, a samurai rabbit, who must help them find a way back to their world.

Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse is set fifty years in the future after a mutant apocalypse killed most of the humans on Earth. An older Raphael travels through the Impossible Wasteland with a robot Donatello (his conscience was transferred to Metalhead 2.0 when the apocalypse occurred), where they meet a Mira, a meercat who's searching for the "Paradise"land.

Besides from the When Worlds Collide two-parter, all the other episodes have a different look and feel to them. Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse is a sad ending to the series, as April O'Neil, Casey Jones, Karai, and the Mighty Mutanimals were killed during the apocalypse, though the characters are never mentioned during it.

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Final Chapters DVD is a must-have for any TMNT fan, young or old.
