My Answer:

I always thought The Lord of the Rings films were always better than books. I've attempted to read the trilogy, but I thought the descriptions and languages were a bit hard to follow.

  3. Oh, I think that the books and movies are equally AWESOME! Tolkien's writing is absolutely SUPERB. I LOVE his descriptions! And his characterizations are sheer genius. As for the movies, they are also sheer genius! The acting, the plotting the cinematography!! So I'm a HUGE fan of both!!

    Have a great weekend!! :)

  4. I love the books AND the movies. I was only able to read the books after seeing the films though. That said, I am now a major Tolkien fan, own all his published writings, and even wrote my BA(hons) dissertation on the use of mythology and language in his works!

  5. I enjoyed both, but the movies certainly did make it easier to take in the descriptions. :-)
