Billy's Thoughts: With so many computer-animation series on television today, a few of them might just get under your radar. Typically, this is the case for me with most cartoons, but I actually was well aware of the new Disney Channel series Elena Of Avalor, which is a spinoff of the Disney Junior series Sofia the First.
Now available on DVD from Disney Home Entertainment is Elena of Avalor: Ready To Rule, featuring the full-length premiere episodes "First Day Of Rule" and "Model Sister." As an added bonus, there are two other episodes - "All Heated Up" and "Island Of Youth." The DVD also comes with a FREE Elena Projection Scepter.
After spending 41 years inside the Amulet of Avalor, the sixteen-year-old Elena Castillo Flores is trying to learn how to be a crowned princess to her grandparents, cousin Esteban, and the entire kingdom.
Overall, I enjoyed watching all the episodes on the Elena of Avalor: Ready To Rule DVD. The animation is well-done, and the episodes have catchy songs. It would make a great gift for kids for Christmas.
