Billy's Review:

After several single-disc releases, the Cartoon Network finally released a three disc-set of Regular Show: The Complete First & Second Seasons back during summer and the Regular Show fans rejoiced.

Created by J. G. Quintel, the Regular Show has been a ratings hit for the Cartoon Network and has garnered fans of all ages, from kids to adults. The series centers on two 23-year-old slackers, Mordecai (a blue jay) and Rigby (a raccoon). They work as groundskeepers at a park, but they try to come up with a scheme on a daily basis to get out of work, as they would rather play video games or rent horror movies, but their boss Benson (a gumball machine) normally catches them not working. The series is full of lively characters, such as Pops (a man with a lollipop for a head), Skips (a yeti), Muscle Man (an overweight green man) and Hi-Five Ghost.

The 40 11-minute episodes on the three-disc set are:

Disc One - Season One:
The Power
Just Set Up the Chairs
Caffeinated Concert Tickets
Death Punchies
Free Cake
Meat Your Maker
Grilled Cheese Deluxe
The Unicorns Have Got To Go
Prank Callers
Don
Rigby's Body
Mordecai and the Rigbys

Disc Two - Season Two:
Ello Gov'nor
It's Time
Appreciation Day
Peeps
Dizzy
My Mom
High Score
Rage Against the TV
Party Pete
Brain Eraser
Benson Be Gone
But I Have a Receipt
This Is My Jam
Muscle Woman

Do Me a Solid

Disc 3 - Season Two:
Grave Sights
Really Real Wrestling
Over the Top
The Night Owl
A Bunch of Baby Ducks
More Smarter
First Day
Go Viral
Skunked
Karaoke Video

The set is jammed packed with exciting special features, such as commentary for all 40 episodes, the Unaired Regular Show Pilot, animatic for the Unaired Pilot, animatic for The Power, original pencil tests from Saerom, CG test for Hodgepodge Monster, 2010 Comic-Con Teaser Trailer, "The Native Man from Lolliland" student short, Sam Sings Mystery Karaoke, Party Tonight music video, interview with JG Quintel, JG pitches The Power and original Regular Show commercials.

Though the series is currently in its fifth season, I only started watching the series a few months back when I reviewed Regular Show: Fright Pack and I became an instant fan. It is rare to find a animated series aimed for children that is actually funny to adults. The series humor reminds me of the early seasons of The Simpsons and the recently departed Futurma. Though I liked all the episodes, my three favorites are "Grilled Cheese Deluxe," "Ello Gov'nor," "Over the Top," and "Grave Sights," which the latter is a homage to zombie films, especially the Evil Dead trilogy. Overall, I loved watching the Regular Show: The Complete First & Second Seasons and I think it would make a great gift for the entire family!
