Ozeri CardioTech Pro Series: Digital Blood Pressure Monitor Review

With all the government healthcare nonsense all over the news, maybe it is time for people to take care of themselves by eating right, exercising daily and getting plenty of sleep. Not matter what your weight is, you should check your blood pressure on a regular basis. With a busy schedule, you probably don't have time to get your blood pressure checked at your doctor's office. There are blood pressure machines at a few department stores, like Walmart, but hundreds of people use the same one everyday, which can lead to a computer error, giving out a wrong reading.

Have you ever thought about owning your own blood pressure monitor?

Sure, years ago blood pressure monitors were expensive, but times have changed and they have become affordable. Plus, they can be bought at drugstores, department stores and online stores. With so many brands on the market, you're probably wondering which one is the best. I've always wondered this too, as I've had family members who have owned a few blood pressure monitors that weren't very good.

Recently, I got a chance to review the Ozeri CardioTech Pro Series BP56 Digital Blood Pressure Monitor; witch features an intelligent voice-guide to help you find the right positioning of your wrist to the get an accurate blood pressure reading. The wrist cuff is designed with clinically proven technology. It can store up to 180 blood pressure readings and it can give you an audible hypertension assessment, which the results are announced on the talking function as well as the LED screen. The monitor can also detect irregular heartbeat (Arrhythmia) detection. The monitor requires two AAA 3V batteries, which are included.

I've never took notice of my blood pressure before my father had a stroke earlier this year, but since then I thought should check into getting my blood pressure taken as my family does a history of high blood pressure. I took my pressure on my parents' monitor and the one at Walmart, which they both came out normal, though the numbers on the Walmart machine was slightly different. The Ozeri Digital Blood Pressure Monitor is simple to use, though if you don't lower your arm correctly, the voice-guide can go into a loop. Once I figured out the perfect position, everything else was a breeze and the reading came out great (well it was average). I thought I would test out the hypertension. I drank a few cups of coffee, and then I tested it out. The voice-guide told me I had a slight hypertension, so I guess it works correctly. This monitor has a memory where you can store the date, time, year and your blood pressure readings (180 for one person or 90 readings each for 2 users). There is a neat plastic case to store the monitor in, so you can easily travel with it on vacation or even take it to work. Overall, I have enjoyed using the Ozeri CardioTech Pro Series: Digital Blood Pressure Monitor and I recommend it to other people. It can even make a great Christmas present for a family member or friend.
