Do you remember listening to the Golden Records on vinyl records or cassette tapes as a kid?

Well, the Golden Records magic has continued this year by releasing new and old songs/stories onto CDs and MP3s for a new generation. Golden Records kindly sent me their most recent release, Spooky Halloween Hits, on MP3 tracks for this review.

Halloween is only a few weeks away. Which means there will be Halloween parties, costumes, and trick-or-treating coming your way. There's nothing better to get you into the mood for Halloween than listening to twenty original creepy Golden Record hits, which have all been remastered.

I have to admit that I have never heard of most of the songs on this release, but I remember "Halloween is All Around Us" as it was in the horror movie Halloween III: Season of the Witch, which always gave me goose bumps. The songs are really catchy and they stayed in my head long after I had finished listening to them. All the songs are family-friendly and they would be perfect to play at a school's Halloween Party or on Halloween Night. Overall, I had a blast listening to these retro tunes.
