Witches of OZ, Unico, More Dark Shadows, and Follow Friday

I have been sick (again) for most of the week, I am just now starting to get over the strep throat.

I happened to catch a few minutes of a movie/mini-series The Witches of OZ on an Encore channel last week. I not a fan of retold Syfy Channel quality movies, despite its campiest something about caught my intention. The movie wasn't going to be reaired anytime soon, but I happened to find at for fewer than ten dollars at my local Wal-mart. I will be giving my take on the movie soon, so be keeping an eye on the upcoming post.

A received a few DVDs (I ordered all them.) in the mail this week. They are: Dark Shadows: The Revival; Underworld: Awakening; Dark Shadows: Fan Favorites; The Fantastic Adventures of Unico; and Unico in the Island of Magic. I have become hooked on the Dark Shadows series, too bad the SyFy channel no longer airs them. I have already watched the Revival (I was sick what else did I have to do.) series, and I will be writing a review for it soon. I have mixed feelings about Underworld: Awakening, but I'm planning on watching it again before writing a review. I have been looking for Unico in the Island of Magic for years! When I was a kid, I would rent every time I was in the video store. It drove my parents crazy. It's great that it is now available on DVD along with The Fantastic Adventures of Unico. I'll be watching this weekend.

Looks like Wal-mart is continuing to add bargain books as I found Hourglass by Claudia Gray for $3.95. In the mail this week: Lucy Come Home by Dave and Neta Jackson; Glamorous Illusions by Lisa T. Bergren; Middle School Get Me OUT of HERE! by James Patterson; and Ghost Knight by Cornelia Funke.

Question of the Week: Summer Break is upon us! What would be the perfect vacation spot for you to catch up on your reading & relax?

My Answer: A quiet spot near a pond.

Book Blogger Hop
Question of the Week: How many books do you own? This can include books in your to-be-read (TBR) pile(s) and books you have already read that are on your keeper shelf.

My Answer: Counting the books on the shelves, in closets, etc. I would have to say I have over 4,000. My plan is to one day own a house where I can have one big room for my personal library!

Quiet place? All for it. And hey, water! Nice. So every 10 hours you can just roll down the beach or something, roll around in the water until you're some sort of not-dirty and roll up again to continue reading. Yay!

Hopping through. I'd love to have a library like that. And I agree that reading by water is lovely.

I saw your post and Sidne's post. I think most truly dedicated readers all want to have there own library, though I believe with 4,000 you have more then my local branch,lol.

@Low Iron Only

A lot of my books are paperbacks, with some being Kids/teen books so they don't take up a lot of space as others do.

Just hopping through this weekend--I'm a new follower, though I'm pretty positive I've stopped by here before. Perhaps on a previous hop?

I love that photograph you posted of the library. Very nice!

@mariposaspring

I am planning on going through my books and getting rid of the ones that don't fit my niche. There are some used books that were given to me by people who no longer wanted them.

That is indeed a lot of books-I love reading and literature but I am not a huge lover of the physical book and in fact have recently converted over to e reading as much as possible-just hopping by to say hello
